The Westminster Concert Choir is composed of students and alumni from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J All of its members have also performed with the world-renowned Westminster Choir and Westminster Symphonic Choir. Setting the standard for choral excellence for over 80 years, Westminster’s choirs have performed hundreds of times and made more than 150 recordings with the principal orchestras of New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Pittsburgh, Boston, Atlanta, San Francisco, Amsterdam and Berlin. Conductors of the 150-voice Westminster Symphonic Choir have included Bernstein, Ormandy, Steinberg, Stokowski, Toscanini and Walter, as well as such contemporary figures as Levine, Maazel, Masur, Mehta, Muti, Ozawa, Sawallisch and Shaw.
The 40-voice Westminster Choir has been the chorus-in-residence for the Spoleto Festival U.S.A. since 1977, performing both in concert and as the opera chorus. The Choir was also the chorus-in-residence for the Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, Italy, for 23 years.

Westminster Choir College of Rider University is a four-year music college and graduate school that prepares aspiring musicians for careers as leaders in schools, universities, churches and professional and community organizations. It is one of four colleges of Rider University, whose main campus is in Lawrenceville, N.J.
Westminster ’s major programs of study are distinctly career oriented. Its programs include music education; music theater; music theory and composition; sacred music; voice, organ, and piano performance and pedagogy; choral conducting; piano accompanying and coaching and arts administration.
Renowned for its tradition of choral excellence, Westminster has become a center of excellence in solo performance as well. In addition to the college’s eight major choirs, Westminster Opera Theater and Westminster Music Theater provide students with extensive performing opportunities.
Westminster also offers extensive summer programs for professional and amateur musicians, as well as summer programs for high school and middle school students. Westminster alumni appear regularly in the world’s great opera houses, including the Met, La Scala and Covent Garden; on Broadway and in some of America’s most prestigious churches, including St. Ignatius Loyola in New York, the Crystal Cathedral in California and Coral Springs Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale; as well as in countless music studios and classrooms throughout the world.
It has been estimated that each week, one million people world-wide study or perform under the leadership of a Westminster graduate.
